And, the flashback ends. Thanks to Madame Lynx for the star brush links. They worked great!

I'll have more colored back-pages later Monday evening. Thanks guys!

Could you be under Geas to live in the "real" world? Would that prevent the compulsion to stay in the Fae lands?
2013-03-18 08:13:16
Unfortunately, that wouldn't end well. If you've eaten fey food or stayed in the fey realm for over twenty-four hours, you can't remain in the mortal realm. You literally burn up and die. So, while someone can be made to leave the fey realm under a geas, they'll end up dying when they try to follow it.

Hey; that is a nice star brush to add to your collection. :-) Makes a good complement to what you already have.

It is nice. :D There was a galaxy one too, but it was a little too much for this night sky. I've set that one aside for another time.

VEry nice page. I can't imagine Moraine not being extra careful after what almost happed with Jacob

Thanks Bear! Yeah, the poor gal's going to be a little wary for a while there.

Certainly interesting to see the interaction between Spooky and Hunter. I have a feeling Moraine was probably hoping for this interaction for a learning experiences for Hunter.

Thanks! Max needs all the learning experiences he can get. Or at least a good mentor and role model. :)

They look lovely, I am honored to have helped! Really digging sheepish Max too, he's too adorable!

Thank you! Yeah, he can be cute at times. I don't get to draw him embarrassed and sheepish enough. :D

So... Moraine didn't know about her abilities? Oh, well, I guess that makes sense, as she wouldn't have had them before the Seal broke... but how can she be so powerful and not even have a clue? And who taught her to control it? What are the chances of a chapter dedicated to Moraine and Spooky (either their story in the early RCSI days or a reunion)? I REALLY wanna know.

Her powers are still pretty new to her at this point. Due to the Seal keeping magic closed off since the Middle Ages, she didn't grow up with it. It's all kind of catching up with her at once. Powerful mages can learn to control magic on their own if they're willing to be cautious and patient. Unfortunately, most mages get a little high off the power and do something stupid, hurting themselves in the process.

Issue 16 is about Moraine and Spooky. It was supposed to be just once issue, up it's looking like it'll take two issues to tell. I'm wondering if I should just have Issue 16 be a special "double issue". The comic doesn't go to print anymore, so I don't have to worry about issue size. Special flashback issue! :D

Definitely looking forward to it!

Me too! :D

From someone with -no- experience... ;-) I'd think staying with the same size for all issues (if possible) would be a good thing for "keeping one's options open," in case you ever decide you want to go back in print. That way everything would still mesh with the older issues. Just my humble opinion. :-) On the other hand, you might be able to handle the double issue so it can someday be made "stand-alone" issue if you want to.

I'm afraid print's out of the picture permanently. I'm now working at too low of a resolution. Since I do everything on the computer, I can't simply rescan. It's cool though, print cost a lot of money and since I tried to keep my cover cost low for readers, the return was small. I may go back and make new down-loadable complete issues for people's tablets, but those will be available for free. :)

I've been meaning to ask if you were still going to do digital editions. I know there is still costs involved
2013-03-24 10:55:18
There is, but it's mostly a cost of time. I'd like to redo the digital editions as each issue is colored. It'll take me a bit to get to them, but they'll show up over time. :D

With any project there is that. Was thinking of bandwidth and storage space involved

Ah, no worries there. One of the perks of running the server your site sits on. ;D
