Moraine (Mori) Cecilia Victoria Windsor Mousira, Princess
News & Information:
Meet Emily. She's a nice girl, even if her markings are annoying to draw at times.
Very sad but she knew better than to control him. Sacrifices in life always hurt the most when they are for the greater cause. My complements on the artwork and storyline!
Thank you. *blush* These last few pages have been difficult to write. It's so hard to put your babies through rough patches. :(
Being a leader often means more sacrifice than most of us ever realize. And Emily is adorable. Thank you for taking the time and care needed for her beautiful markings.
So true. And thanks. Emily's a sweetie. I'm glad I was finally able to get her in the comic.
It is extremely sad for them both. One other observation, though - Moraine was rather open telling Emily about her powers and what she could have done. Perhaps Emily will be instrumental in helping Moraine learn to control her powers later on.
Emily and a few other characters have been waiting in the wings for a bit now. Hopefully we'll be able to see more of her in the future. :D
I love the emotion in Moraine's expression in the centre panel - I can really feel the sense of longing mixed with loss she's feeling at Roderick's departure. Well done on such an awesome page!
Thank you! Poor Moraine... she's quickly becoming one of my favorites for some reason.
Good to know Moraine has someone outside of the RCSI loop to confide in... it will hopefully help her to come to terms with Roderick's disappearance... she seems to know already that it is a one way journey...
True, and it being another woman may help as well. The only gal running around in RCSI so far is Ruby's grandmother, and she doesn't stop by too often. Ruby's grandmother took charge of the early medical wing of RCSI.
Ahhh, I see. A quieter achiever in Ruby's family tree. It would be a position she'd likely see a lot of her husband if his RCSI time matches his RAF experiences. Funny to be having the Medical Wing come up at this time, eh? ;-) Hope the brace helps in the mean time.
She's a nurse so, when she offered to help out it's where she ended up. She often jokes that her being a nurse may have been part of the reason Michael kept crashing planes. He denies this, of course. ;D
Just wanted to say - it seems like in the comments you're a little down. I know I'll wait patiently, as will the rest of us. You have a beautiful story, so take your time - we're not going anywhere.
Thank you. I'm still a little nervous about the wrist. I hate waiting to find out what's going to happen, whether therapy or surgery. I'm trying to be upbeat, but sometimes it slips. :(
The waiting may be the hardest part. All you can do is follow their advice, try to keep your wrist rested / braced, and don't overextend yourself. You may even notice some improvement from wearing the brace itself. We are all with you!
Thank you! :D
Hope you only need supports for the wrists. I don't know how painful carpel tunnel is but I hear it's agony. The colored pages have been a treat to see but don't try keeping a schedule at the cost of your wrists.
It's painful at times, but I'm more frustrated. I hate having days where I can't seem to hold on to stuff well. I planned on doing 4-5 pages a week. Lately I've been doing maybe 2-3.
Once again, a very good showing of Moraine's character Darc. Being her first agent and the person who helped her with her first problem with a spook, Spooky was probably a very close friend. Maybe he could have been even more, if he didn't get trapped in the Fey realm. It shows how much she really cares for others, but also shows her respect to others peoples free will.
Thank you! Yeah, she's an interesting woman, is Moraine. I'm really liking her as a character.
Nice attention to detail! Different wallpaper outside door in panel one, and the fingers pressed against the glass. Nice job! Emily does have pretty colors too.
Thanks, Ed! I used one of the tones I have to do the pattern on the wood and floor. I'm not quite steady enough to draw that by hand and I didn't have a brush that looked right. Little Photoshop tricks. :D
Anyone personally serving the royal family would have to have a security clearance only slightly below that of God's. It should come as no surprise that Emily would be privy to Moraine's deepest secrets.
Especially this version. O.O;
It occurs me that the traditional English butler--and presumably the maids as well--are discreet, unobtrusive, able to anticipate their employer's needs, and are always right where they are needed. Such traits are also desirable in bodyguards. Terrorists and other such nefarious people might plan for the obvious armed guards, but might overlook the lady with the white apron and black belt.
choo choo George
Emily's really a very cute canine, when I first saw her I thought she was a tiger with the stripes on her face, beautiful page over all and you really know how to convey feelings in your drawings, how's the wrist doing by the way?
Thank you! So far the wrist is holding steady. I should learn more about what's up with it tomorrow. :D
I like this comic, I read it and it's quite likable. Wanted to say thanks for writing it.
